Next painting : Untamed

Greetings :

Granted this painting is not done yet, I have the underpainting study version done and I’m just working out the colors now…

I wanted to create a powerful and uninhibited type of work that reflects on what it’s like to not give a fuck of what people think about you or even what society thinks about you.

So without further Ado, Here is the underpainting for Untamed…

What better way to do it than with stallions, (aka uncastrated horses)? The genitals hanging out on the rearing horse helps drive the point home while the lightning helps reinforce their strength and power with utmost certainty.
Next to follow will be the color.  That’s for a different blog post though. It’s time for me to get going. I’ve got to get started on the day.

Take care for now ☁️👑

Rose Petals and Crystals

Good Morning ☁️👑

It’s another day that has begun and what better thing to do than blog a new art entry? So here we go.

Recently, I finished a commission for a friend and I just wanted to post it here for your viewing pleasure. This has nothing to do with the current body of work I am focusing on, but it does scream of contrasts and duality which is what is usually prevalent in my work anyway.

I unfortunately havent seen my friend yet so i still have the piece. Since this piece, I’ve sworn off commissions for a while, so that I can concentrate on my current body of work.

As I’ve said in the previous post, I’m working on a painting of 2 stallions. Currently it’s in the color study phase , so its safe to say it’s moving along. I’m going to get moving as well and start my day. Take care for now!

War Times

I’ve meant to post this for a while…

This is the final version of the Roman helmet study I posted a while back, re rendered on a 16x 20 canvas. I’ve since renamed this piece. Here is the final result:

It looks pretty badass I think. This is the direction I’m going in with my work…a more agressive, masculine energy oriented style of expression. It is reflective as my journey of trying to improve and develop myself as a man, and as such my art will reflect that. Its like a warrior’s quest with all of it’s highs and lows.

Currently, I am working on a painting of 2 stallions and I will post that when I get far enough to a point that I feel it is worth posting.  Take care for now ☁️👑
